Boulder-based Misty Robotics, a new startup building personal robots, announced this morning that it has raised $11.5M in a funding round, and spun out of Sphero. The new startup was founded by Ian Bernstein, the co-founder and CTO of Sphero. The Series A funding came from Venrock, Foundry Group, and others. Tim Enwall has been named CEO of the new company, with Bernstein becoming Head of Product. Misty said it will build autonomous robots for the home and office.
