Walking Dead, Mad Men Hit Sling TV
Englewood, Colorado-based Sling TV, the online, streaming television service which is owned by DISH Network, said this week that it has added the "Walking Dead", "Mad Men" and other AMC and IFC titles into its core package. Sling--which is attempting to capture "cord cutters" who do not want a satellite or cable subscription, but miss access to a lot of that content--said that that AMC and IFC will be part of its "Best of Live TV" package, its core $20 per month offering. Sling also said it has launched a $5 per month add on called "Hollywood Extra", which will include content from EPIX and SundanceTV. Sling's core package now includes ESPN, ESPN2, AMC, TNT, TBS, Food Network, HGTV, Travel Channel, IFC, El Rey, Adult Swim, Cartoon Network, ABC Family, Disney Channel, CNN and Galavision.
