Amkor, Tessera Settle Patent Lawsuit
Chandler, Arizona-based Amkor Technology and competing semiconductor packaging and test technology developer Tessera said the two have settled their outstanding litigation and arbitration proceedings. Amkor has agreed to pay a total of $155M in equal, quarterly installments over the next four years to settle the lawsuit, which stems out of a patent infringement suit the two have been locked into for the last few years. Amkor had lost the initial lawsuit in October of last year, at that time vowing to exercise all of its appeal options.
