Amkor Gets Setback In Patent Case
Chandler, Arizona-based Amkor Technology, a provider of semiconductor assembly and test equipment, reported Monday that it was disappointed in a decision by an Administrative Law Judge in an ITC Patent Infringement case against Carsem. The firm said that the judge found that some of its patent claims are invalid, and that there was not a violation of the Tariff Act in the case. Amkor said it disagreed wit the decision, and is looking to get a modification of the decision to prohibit Carsem from importing infringing products into the U.S.
