Level 3 Gets Stimulus Grant
Broomfield, Colorado-based Level 3 said Tuesday that it has been awarded $13.7M in a federal grant, from the National Telecommunications and Information Association (NTIA). The firm said the grant--from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act--will go towards expansion of rural broadband. Level 3 said it will also commit an additional $4.2M in matching fund to reach rural areas in California, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Tennessee and Texas.
