MapQuest Enhances Mobile Offering
Denver, Colorado-based MapQuest has enhanced the firm's wireless services, saying today that its upgraded MapQuest Mobile now adds points of interset, multipoint routing, walking directions, and Canadian coverage. The firm also said that its MapQuest Navigator GPS application now is available for Sprint and Nextel Blackberry devices. The upgrade to MapQuest Mobile adds access to points of interest like hotels and restaurants, as well as search functionality; the firm has also extended its multipoint routing capabilities, which allow for multipole destinations to be plotted in a route, to the mobile platform.
