Micron has sold one of its business units to
Aptina, the two said earlier this week. According to Aptina, it has agreed to purchase Micron's purchase CFA (Color Filter Array) processing and probe imaging assets, which were based in Idaho. As part of the deal, Aptina will lease the Nampa, Idaho fabrication facility known as Fab 9D, where CFA's processing is located. Financial details of the purchase were not disclosed. Aptina said the deal will nearly double its presence in Idaho.
