Micron Launches New CMOS Sensor Division
Boise, Idaho-based Micron Technology said Tuesday afternoon that it has created a new division to focus on CMOS image sensors. Micron said the new division, which it is calling Aptina Imaging, will operate as an independent division within the firm. Aptina will continue to use Micron's CMOS manufacturing and R&D resources. Aptina's products will include image processors, image sensors, and wafer-level cameras.
