Micron Completes Sale Of Nampa, Idaho Team, Product
Boise-based Micron Technology has completed its sale of its Color Filter Array (CFA) processing image line to Aptina, the two said this morning. The deal gives ownership of Micron's related fabrication facility in Nampa, Idaho, and nearly 100 manufacturing employees at the location. Aptina said it will continue to operate that facility, which will aid its existing pixel optics research and development team. The products developed at the site are used in automobile imaging systems, smartphone cameras, gaming consoles, surveillance and medical products. The deal had been announced in May.
