Tendril Ties Into Google Home, Google Assistant
Boulder-based Tendril, which develops an online platform which tracks electric, gas, and other utility usage for utilities, said on Monday that it has tied its systems into Google Assistant and Google Home, allowing consumers to access their energy information and notifications by voice. According to Tendril, the voice-activated energy information will first be available through Indiana Michigan Power (I&M), part of American Electric Power. Tendril said that it will be able to delivery "energy insights" through any device which supports the Google Assistant, including reporting energy bill amounts, providing energy conservation tips, and tracking home energy usage.
