Denver-based smart sprinkler controller developer
Rachio said today that it has linked its sprinkler controllers to Google Assistant, Google's personal assistant software. According to Rachio, the link will allow users to control everything from watering schedules to connecting the company's controllers to smart home control systems. Rachio's systems already link into Amazon Alexa, Nest, Xfinity, Control4, Crestron, IFTTT, Nexia and Wink. Rachio is led by Chris Klein; the company's smart sprinkler controller monitors the weather and automatically adjusts a user's irrigation schedules to optimize water usage. Google Assistant is Google's answer to Amazon's Alexa personal assistant.
