Qualtrics Names New COO As It Aims At IPO
Provo, Utah-based employee feedback management software developer Qualtrics said this morning that it has named a Microsoft veteran as COO, specifically to help bolster its executive staff ahead of an IPO. Qualtrics said it has named Zig Serafin, a longtime Microsoft veteran, as Chief Operating Officer. Serafin spent the last 17 years at Microsoft, most recently serving as Corporate Vice President with responsibility for Office 365 Skype for Business, and having also spearheaded the development of Cortana, Microsoft's artificial intelligence and personal assistant project. Qualtrics specifically said the hire helps it as it begins IPO planning. The company says it now has more than 1,200 employees.
