Phoenix, Salt Lake City Among Top High Tech Growth Markets, Says Report
A new survey, released this week by real estate firm CBRE, ranks both Phoenix and Salt Lake City as among the top cities, in terms of high-tech software and services job growth. According to the research report, the high-tech software services industry was the leading driver of U.S. office market demand, with Phoenix seeing 42.7 percent growth between 2012 to 2014, and Salt Lake City reporting 16.2 percent, due to demand in the market. Phoenix was ranked #2 in the nation, right behind San Francisco, and Salt Lake City was number 10. Eli Mills, a senior vice president and investment properties in Salt Lake, said in a release from CBRE that the growth in that market comes due to a high level of venture capital funding in Utah.
