Purch Finds $135M For Digital Publishing Efforts
Purch, the online publishing company which was started in Ogden as TopTenREVIEWS, said today that it has raised $135M in a funding round, to expand the company. The Series C funding included both equity and debt, and was led by Canso Investment Counsel. The company said the funding will go towards strategic acquisitions and growth. Purch got its start as TopTenREVIEWS, a technology review site founded by Jerry Ropelato, and later rebranded as TechmediaNetwork. The company's original venture backers include Highway 12 Ventures and Village Ventures.
