Sling TV Launches On Xbox, Adds A+E Networks
Englewood, Colorado-based Sling TV, the unbundled, Internet video subscription television service, has launched its service on the Xbox One, and also added a number of channels from A+E. Sling already offers its service on such devices as the Amazon Fire TV and Roku. Separately, Sling said it has added A&E, HISTORY, H2 and Lifetime to its core "Best of Live TV" package, which costs $20 per month. In addition to those channels, Sling also added two premium packages--'Lifestyle Extra" with truTV, Cooking Channel, DIY and WE tv, FYI, and LMN; and "World News Extra" with Bloomberg TV, HLN, Euro News, France 24, NDTV 24/7, News 18 and Russia Today. Sling--which is owned by DISH Networks--is targeting cord cutters with its Internet-only subscriptions.
