ON Semiconductor Buys Aptina Imaging For $400M
Phoenix-based ON Semiconductor said late Monday that it has acquired Aptina Imaging, to help bolster the company's sensors in the automotive and industrial semiconductor market. ON Semiconductor said it would pay approximately $400M in cash for Aptina Imaging. ON Semiconductor said that Aptina's markets are of "strategic focus" for the company. Aptina is based in San Jose, California.
