ON Semiconductor Buys Truesense Imaging For $92M
Phoenix-based ON Semiconductor said late Wednesday that it has acquired Truesense Imaging, a Rochester, New York-based developer of industrial image sensors. ON Semiconductor said it will pay approximately $92M in cash for Truesense. Trusense Imaging supplies image sensors for the machine vision, surveillance, traffic monitoring, medical and scientific imaging, and photography markets. ON Semiconductor said the acquisition complements its existing image sensors business, and helps it add more than 200 new customers. Truesense Imaging is a spinout of Eastman Kodak Co.
