Craftsy Gets Its Own Holiday: Colorado Craftsy Day
In an unusual boost for a startup, Denver-based online learning site for arts and crafts, Craftsy, has had today--May 21st--declared "Colorado Craftsy Day" by Governor John Hickenlooper. According to Craftsy and Gov. Hickenlooper, the declaration comes as a result of the startup bringing nearly 200 jobs to Colorado since it launched three years ago. Craftsy's site lets users learn all kinds of craft skills, such as sewing, knitting, quilting, cake decorating, photography, and more--through online video. As a result of the declaration, Craftsy said it will let fellow Coloradans sign up for a class for free today. Colorado residents can sign up for free classes online.
