UVize Gets Funding For Veterans Mentoring Site
Boulder-based Uvize has raised a round of funding, from fellow Boulder company the Foundry Group. According to the Foundry Group, the investment came via its FG Angels syndicate. Financial details of the funding were not announced. UVize provides an online platform which it provides to universities, to help connect veterans with others as mentors, and also helps incoming veterans prepare for college. Uvize said 85 percent of military veterans currently fail to graduate college. Uvize is one of the companies which was in the TechStars Kaplan education accelerator last year. Foundry Group is on a roll with its FG Angels angel syndication investments; this announcement is the third for the effort in the last month, following recent investments in RABBL and Drync earlier in the month.
