DigitalGlobe In Deal With Trimble
Longmont, Colorado-based DigitalGlobe, the provider of geographical information systems (GIS) tools, is supplying its earth imagery to GPS and mapping firm Trimble. Trimble said last week that it has licensed DigitalGlobe's satellite imagery, for offline use in Trimble Outdoors mobile apps. The company said that the deal will outdoor enthusiasts to view and store imagery on their smartphones and tablets. Financial impact and terms of the deal were not announced.
