DISH Edged Out By Softbank With New Bid For Sprint
In the latest development in the bid by DISH Network to acquired Sprint, competing bidder SoftBank has increased its offer to buy Sprint Nextel to $21.6 billion. DISH Network said that it will analyze the revised Softbank bid and consider its strategic options, and that it continues to believe that Sprint has "tremendous value". Dish has been looking to enter the wireless industry by acquiring Sprint.
