DISH Waves National Security In Sprint Acquisition
Englewood, Colorado-based satellite television operator DISH Network has raised the issue of national security in its fight with Japanese firm SoftBank over acquisition of Sprint. Sprint outlined its concerns in a statement Thursday, saying that its proposal to buy Sprint will deliver all the benefits of the SoftBank-Sprint transaction, but will be "built on a foundation of an American company investing cash from an American balance sheet to make another American company more competitive for the benefit of all American consumers."
