Liberty Global Buys Stake In Dutch Cable Operator
Englewood, Colorado-based Liberty Global said Thursday that it has acquired 12.5 percent of a cable operator in the Netherlands, Ziggo N.V.. Liberty Global paid approximately $812.26M US for the stake. Liberty Global said it expects the deal will provide it with around $475.15M in dividends during 2013. Because of the relatively small size of the stake, Liberty Global said it would not require any regulatory approvals on the deal.
