Webroot Launches User-Based Pricing

Security software provider Webroot, which is based in Broomfield, Colorado, has rolled out a new user pricing model for its business users, the firm said Tuesday. Webroot said it has launched a new, user-based licensing model for its enterprise and service provider customers. The firm said the model moves away from the traditional, per-device plans, to make it easier for companies to manage their security.

Webroot did not announce the new pricing tiers, but said the new model will let companies deploy its Webroot SecureAnywhere endpoitn and mobile protection model via user-based licensing. The firm said the new plan specifically is aimed at covering the rise of mobile devices in the enterprise and the BYOD (bring your own device) model.
