Public Engines Launches New Mobile App For Police
Salt Lake City-based PublicEngines, which is best known for its crime mapping website, CrimeReports, said this week that it has launched a new, mobile app aimed at law enforcement agencies. The firm said its new CityConnect mobile app allows those agencies to create their own, agency-branded mobile applications to help inform, connect, and engage with their local communities. Pricing on the new product was not announced. The new product supports social media connections to Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and more, and also allow agencies to distribute alerts, provide maps of local crimes, accept anonymous tips, and more.
