Intermap Completes Mapping Effort
Denver-based Intermap, a provider of mapping and data for the GIS industry, said Monday that the firm has completed data collection for its NEXTMap USA 3D mapping program. According to the firm, the completion makes it the first company to map 3.1 million square miles of the contiguous U.S. and Hawaii. The firm said it will use the mapping data to develop high-resolution geospatial products at the company. The firm said all of the the mapping data will be commercially available in 2010, with around half of the current dataset available through its products today.
