Boom Supersonic Snags $100M

Denver-based Boom Supersonic, which is developing a supersonic airplane called the "Overture", said on Friday that it has raised $100M in a Series B funding. The funding was led by Emerson Capital, and also included Y Combinator Continuity, Caffeinated Capital, SV Angel, Sam Altman, Paul Graham, Ron Conway, Michael Marks, and Greg McAdoo. Boom said its plane, the "Overture", will travel at Mach 2.2, and carry 55 passengers, with what it claims will be a cost similar to subsonic business class.
