Boom Supersonic Raises $33M For Supersonic Aircraft

Centennial, Colorado-based Boom Supersonic, a startup looking to build a supersonic, passenger aircraft, the XB-1, has raised $33M in a Series A funding, the company disclosed today. The funding came from 8VC, Caffeinated Capital, Palm Drive Ventures, RRE Ventures, and Y Combinator's Continuity Fund. The startup, led by Blake Sholl, wants to bring back supersonic passenger flight, which disappeared with the Concorde.
