Sorenson Media Lands Flash Networks

Sorenson Media, the developer of video transcoding software with major operations in Salt Lake City, reported today that it has landed Flash Networks, a developer of mobile Internet services gateways. Sorenson said that Flash Networks has licensed its video decoder for use in optimizing real-time, video quality for mobile users in a mobile Internet services gateway. Financial impact of the win were not disclosed. Sorenson Media develops software used for video encoding and decoding; the firm's development operations are in Salt Lake City, with corporate headquarters in San Diego, California.
