Sorenson Media Rolls Out Multimedia Tool

Salt Lake City, Utah-based Sorenson Media has released a new version of its video compression and encoding software at MacWorld. The firm said that is has released Sorenson Squeeze 4.3, its compression software, for both Macintosh and Windows systems. The softare supports Macromedia Flash 8, and includes a cross-platform player of flash video files and support of flash player templates. The company also said that it supports plug-in support of On2 Technology's VP6 Pro video codec for Flash. Sorenson develops video encoding applications for streaming video over the Internet.
