MPC to Provide Coast Guard with Computers

MPC Corp., a manufacturer of computers and servers for businesses and government agencies, announced Tuesday that its MPC Computers subsidiary will team with Apptis Inc. to supply desktop and notebook computers to the U.S. Coast Guard. The financial impact of the deal was not disclosed. Headquartered in Chantilly, Va., Apptis Inc. provides government and industry with information technology services. MPC said the desktops and notebooks will be distributed under a five-year contract between the Department of Homeland Security and Apptis. MPC explained that it will supply the computers while Apptis, as prime contractor, will supervise the contract and serve as liaison to the Coast Guard. Founded in 1991, MPC Corp. is based in Nampa, Idaho.
