Salt Lake City-based Lucid Software said Thursday that it has raised $5M in a Series A funding. The funding came from Kickstart Seed Fund, Grayhawk Capital, and others. The startup, which is led by Karl Sun, develops graphical applications for Google Chrome and Google Apps, including a diagramming application called Lucidchart, and a publishing tool called Lucidpress. Sun was previously at Google, having started Google's China office. Co-founder Ben Dilts was CTO of Zane BEnefits. The firm says it already has over 2 million users.
