MycoTechnology Lands Funding Round For Better Tasting Coffee
Aurora, Colorado-based MycoTechnology, a company developing mushroom-based food processing techniques to remove the bitter compound in foods, has scored a second round of funding, the company announced today. Source of the funding was not disclosed. MyCoTechnology said the round came from institutional investors. The firm, led by Alan Hahn, said it has develops an all-natural bio-process which uses mushrooms to consume the bitter compounds in food--particularly, coffee--making those foods sweeter and better tasting. The startup said it is also looking to do the same thing with chocolate.
