SecurityMetrics Takes On Mobile Scanning
SecurityMetrics, the provider of PCI compliance tools and scanning services, reported today that it has launched a new mobile app for securing mobile devices. The Salt Lake City-based company said its new SecurityMetrics MobileScan app lets merchants identify potential security threats and protect devices through scanning and remediation. The software scans a users' mobile devices and looks for things like weak passwords, Wi-Fi weaknesses, and more. SecurityMetrics is tapping technology from Salt Lake City-based MokiMobility for the security scanning; the tool works on both Android and iOS. MokiMobility is backed by Epic Ventures and local angels.
