Distil.it Gets $1.8M From TechStars, Others
Are you a website owner tired of online spammers scraping off your content and using it elsewhere on the web? Distil.it, a TechStars startup developing tools to specifically battle those web scrapers, said Thursday that it has received $1.8M in a seed financing round, which included the participation of TechStars. The round was led by ff Venture Capital, and also included Correlation Ventures, Idea Fund Partners, CIT, Piedmont RIA, Cloud Power Fund, and TechStars. Distil.it is based in Virginia, and was part of Techstars Cloud 2012.
