Openspace Store, the company behind the
Developers Cooperative open app marketplace, has raised a seed invetment from venture capital firm
Foundry Group, Foundry said today. Foundry said the investment was made back in October of 2010. Openspace operates an online marketplace for buying applications, music, books, and movie for smart phones, and is focused on empowering app developers with a more open, democratic approach. The firm is headed by Robert Reich and Randy Watler. Openspace store launched the Developer Cooperative last week, and Reich detailed the funding earlier this week in an interview with Techrockies.
