Robert Reich, the founder of OneRiot and organizer of the Boulder Denver New Tech meetups, has launched a new effort to help app developers gain better distribution and pricing control. Reich said Tuesday that he has launched the
Developers Cooperative, a new service which allows app developers to set their own prices on apps, better paybacks on app sales of 70 percent, and gain better distribution opportunities. The firm is also looking to bypass the sometimes onerous terms of service and API restrictions of more formal application stores. Openspace is backed by The Foundry Group, as well as angel investors such as David Cohen and Zelkova Ventures.
