Tendril Partners On Demand Response Pilot
Boulder-based Tendril, which develops energy management systems, said today that it has partnered with Utility Integration Solutions, a provider of demand response management and automation systems. According to Tendril, the two are in a demonstration project for PJM Interconnection, the operator of the largest power grid in North America. Tendril said the project uses its Tendril Connect platform along with UISOL's demand response price server. Financial details of the pilot project were not announced. Demand response systems are used by power utilities to reduce the load on their power grids in times of high demand.
