Tendril Ties With Demand Response Software
Boulder, Colorado-based Tendril, a developer of energy monitoring devices and software, reported today that it has linked with Utility Integration Solutions Inc. (UISOL), on a new energy management and demand response system. According to the firms, the integration allows UISOL's DRBizNet Demand Response Management Systems to mange grid load. Financial details of the collaboration were not discussed. Tendril's products are used to monitor and manage energy usage in homes, through in-home displays, smart thermostats, and other devices. Demand Response software is used by utilities to better manage peak power loads, for example, remotely ordering the shutdown of air conditioners to prevent overload of power lines.
