Firm Selects Phoenix For New Data Center
A California colocation and hosting firm, American Internet Services, said this morning that it has opened up a new data center in Phoenix, as part of an increased effort on business continuity and disaster recovery. AIS said that it selected Phoenix because it is a geographically stable region of the country. The new facility is based in downtown Phoenix and is interconnected with the firm's five other data centers via an optical network. Square footage of the new data center was not detailed by AIS.
