Firm Opens Phoenix Data Center
A Phoenix-based private equity firm, Global Datacenter Trust, disclosed Thursday that the firm is opening up a new data center in Phoenix, which will offer colocation services to companies worldwide. According to Global Datacenter Trust, the new center--called the Phoenix NAP will feature 160,00 square feet of datacenter space and 20 megawatts of redundant power. The new data center is at 3402 E University Drive, just across the Salt River from the Sky Harbor airport. Global Datacenter Trust said it selected Phoenix because it's in a "disaster-free" area and because the "city and workforce are highly supportive of the high-tech industry."
