Nampa, Idaho-based MPC Corporation said today that it has acquired computer manufacturer Gateway's Professional business, in a deal worth approximately $90M. Gateway Professional provides computer products to businesses, government agencies, and educational institutions. MPC said that Gateway's Professional segment had revenues of approximately $900M in 2006, and that the acquisition is expected to close in early Q4. MPC will assume responsibility for warranty and support, and also acquires Gateway's final assembly facility in Nashville, TN; along with Gateway's support operations in North Sioux City, SD.
