JDA Software Buys Blue Yonder
Scottsdale, Arizona-based supply chain software developer JDA Software announced this morning that it has acquired Blue Yonder, a German developer of supply chain software. Financial details of the buy were not announced. Blue Yonder was founded in 2008, and is backed by Otto Group and Warburg Pincus. Blue Yonder's software uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to provide automation and supply chain forecasts to the retail merchandising market. The companies said that Blue Yonder's customers include UK supermarket chain WM Morrisons and e-commerce company OTTO.
