Foundry Backs Tidelift In $15M Funding
Boulder-based Foundry Group has backed Tidelift, a startup which provides open source software source to software development teams, in a $15M Series A funding. The funding was led by General Catalyst, Foundry Group, and former Red Hat Chairman and CEO Matthew Szulik. Ryan McIntyre, co-founder and Managing Director of Founry Group, has joined Tidelift's board, alongside Larry Bohn of General Catalyst and Szulik. The investment into a Boston company is not unusual for Foundry, whose founders have some history in Boston, despite their current presence in Colorado.
