DigitalGlobe Taps Into AI Tools For Mapping Buildings
Westminster, Colorado-based satellite imaging provider DigitalGlobe is in a relationship to use artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning to generate building footprints in its imagery, via a partnership with Ecopia Tech Corporation, the company said today. Financial details of the partnership were not announced. DigitalGlobe said its new product, Ecopia U.S. Building Footprints powered by DigitalGlobe, will give its customers the most current and accurate information on structures in areas of interest in such areas as supply chain management, urban planning, and asset monitoring for industries such as energy, insurance, real estate, telecom, and location-based services.
