Westminster, Colorado-based DigitalGlobe, which operates a network of earth imaging satellites, said on Wednesday that it has selected upstart rocket launch provider SpaceX to launch the next generation of its WorldView satellite imaging constellation. The two said that the first block of satellites for DigitalGlobe's WorldView Legion satellites will be launched in two separate flights in 2021, on SpaceX's Falcon 9 rockets. The two said DigitalGlobe will use two of SpaceX's "flight proven" rockets, which have been launched into space and back. Financial details of the deal were not announced.
