Maxar Technologies Moves HQ To Colorado
Maxar Technologies Ltd, a developer of commercial satellites, space robotics, high resolution earth observation and other sensors, and related products, says it is moving its headquarters to Westminster, Colorado, from its former HQ in San Francisco. The company--which has 6,500 employees and $3.1 billion in annual revenues--said the move will help bring its executive staff together in a common location. Maxar said the new headquarters will be located within the DigitalGlobe facility. Maxar acquired DigitalGlobe in October of 2017, adding to three other businesses: Radiant Solutions, SSL, and MDA. Maxar said the move will result in the addition of approximately 800 jobs over the next eight years. DigitalGlobe already has 800 employees in Westminster, and a total of 1,000 in all of Colorado.
