FullContact Acquires Mattermark In Fire Sale, Says Report
Denver-based FullContact has acquired company information provider Mattermark, according to details leaked to the press by a disgruntled employee of Mattermark. The acquisition deal has not yet been formally announced by either company. According to an email, FullContact paid less than $1M for Mattermark, which had raised over $17M in funding from such investors as Andreessen Horowitz, NEA, 500 Startups, Foundry Group and Sherpa Capital. Because of the very low sale price, employees of Mattermark are not set to receive any proceeds, and the company's venture backers are not likely to see a return, either.
