TeleTech Gets FEMA Contract For Harvey Support
Denver-based outsourced customer support and call center provider TeleTech Holdings said last week that it has been contracted to support the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to assist in disaster recovery for Hurricane Harvey survivors. TeleTech said it is leveraging its existing, customer care facilities across the country, including in Texas, to handle calls from Hurricane Harvey survivors. Size of the contract was not announced. In addition to the contract with FEMA, TeleTech said it had been supporting a volunteer contact center for the American Red Cross. As a result of the Harvey contract, TeleTech said it has launched a "emergency relief" hiring effort in Houston and Richardson, Texas; Tempe and Phoenix, Arizona; Westlake, Ohio; and Kalispell, Montana.
