MyHeritage Buys Legacy Family Tree
Lehi, Utah- and Tel Aviv-based MyHeritage said on Thursday afternoon that it has acquired Surprise, Arizona-based Millenia Corporation, the maker of the Legacy Family Tree genealogy desktop software. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Legacy Family Tree, which has been around since 1997, offers up desktop genealogy testing software, and also runs a webinar business called Legacy Family Tree Webinars. Legacy Family Tree had been founded by Geoff Rasmussen. MyHeritage says the acquisition is the ninth for the company.
